2014 Mini Sessions

Now that the holidays are over, it's safe to share some of the fun we had this fall! I always like to wait, in case anybody prefers to reveal their portraits on their holiday cards. Plus, I know a couple of these families were planning on giving their portraits as gifts. This autumn, I hosted my day of holiday mini sessions at Brooksvale Park in Hamden, Connecticut. For those of you who have not been there, I recommend it as a must-do. It is the sweetest, most picturesque little working farm tucked into the woods just over the Cheshire town line. For years, I only knew how to get there via bike trail, and it took me awhile to figure out how to get there by road. The little farm is always so quiet, and so beautiful. It is set up for a family outing, with a small play area for the kids, lots of animals to check out, and picnic tables should you decide to pack a lunch. Nope, I'm not a paid spokesperson. I'm just so in love with this little place, and I couldn't resist gushing. Speaking of gushing, I was so lucky to be able to create family portraits for a few of my very favorite people. I am always left feeling so grateful to be invited into the lives of the families that I photograph and to be able to capture a moment in time for them. A few of these little ones were in front of my camera as newborns. How lucky am I to be able to return to them time and time again to watch them grow? It is truly a blessing, and one of the things that make me happiest. I am happy to (finally!) share these fun images from my 2014 mini sessions.
