Betsy and Dereck ~ Connecticut Engagement Photography

Betsy and Dereck are adorable. If you know them, you know I'm right. The couple called me to create engagement portraits, and we decided to meet at Wadsworth Falls State Park in Middletown, Connecticut. This, as you may or may not know, is one of my most favorite spots in the state. It was the first place I thought of when Betsy described her and Dereck's love of the outdoors, hiking and mountain biking. The woods in this park are breathtaking. Place a romantic mansion directly in the middle of the beautiful forest, and - Voila! - the ideal setting for outdoorsy engagement portraits. Betsy and Dereck were so easygoing. When I suggested a half mile hike to a stone bridge, they said, "Let's go!" When the trails were seemingly under construction, with huge piles of dirt everywhere, they traversed the terrain like professionals, laughing and joking together the entire time. Lie down in the wet-ish leaves? Not a problem! I am eager to hear the details of this awesome couple's wedding day. For Betsey and Dereck, the venue, the weather, the types of flowers will not matter. Their wedding day is going to be amazing because of them. Congratulations, again, you two!
