The Leonard Family at Wickham Park ~ Connecticut Family Photography

Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut is one spot that, when I speak of it, I get all excited and start talking with my hands. It really is a beautiful place. But that doesn't really do it justice. Entering the park, you are greeted by the most perfect rolling green lawn. As you drive through, you will find an aviary, a children's playground, a sprawling boulevard lined with trees. After the boulevard, cabin, surrounded by gardens, which overlooks the Hartford skyline. Scenes like this, where you can see for miles, are always breathtaking to me. Continuing past the cabin, beyond the wooded picnic areas, you will come across a variety of neat little areas including An English garden - complete with hedge maze - and an oriental arch bridge overlooking a lotus pond. I love wandering the park and exploring all of these little areas. Amy and Mike were married at Wickham Park. I can only imagine how beautiful their wedding must have been! The setting is perfection. I love the idea of bringing their baby to the park for family portraits in this place that is so special to them. Last year, Amy asked me to create portraits of little Michael as a gift for his daddy. This year I was so happy to photograph the entire family at the park. I love the little captured moments that show how sweet this family is. And, of course, I can never resist a few piggy toe shots...
