This spring, I met Lisa and Jeff and Topsmead State Forest in Litchfield, Connecticut to create some pretty stunning maternity portraits. The mom- and dad-to-be were awaiting the arrival of their little girl. Ella was born a few short weeks later. (And she's perfect! Click here to see her newborn images.) Pregnancy can certainly feel endless, but it is also a time that flies by. That's why it's such an important time to capture with portraits. One day, little Ella is going to be so happy to see these portraits of her gorgeous parents while she was still in her mama's belly. Maternity portraits are a celebration of such an amazing and beautiful chapter in life's book. I am so grateful that Lisa and Jeff asked me to capture these memories for them.
We had a great time at this scenic park. I was pretty pregnant with Tory at that point, so we must have been quite a spectacle to onlookers! But for a couple of pregnant ladies, we totally rocked it. Here are some of my favorites from Lisa and Jeff's maternity session:
Maternity portraits capture such an incredible chapter of your story. Ask any mom-to-be, and she'll surely tell you that pregnancy is less than glamorous. I've been there. But looking back, those months of pregnancy make some of the sweetest memories. There is nothing more special that that bond that is forming between parents and their developing baby, and nothing more beautiful than a mama's body working hard to protect and nurture that little life. I would love to help you tell the story of your pregnancy and of your new baby's first days. Please contact me for more information or to schedule your maternity and newborn sessions.
